i have a Tetra Whisper filter that you buy replaceable pads for.How ofter should you clean the plastic case ?
that the pads fit in.After a while the poop builds up in the case is that good.To leave it just like it is.i have a 10 gallon fish tank.
and how often should i clean it.
i herd clean one part the months later the other part
Once per month or when you see it has really gotten bad, remove the entire filter and give it a good rinse with Tap Water. What happens is the “draw” or the magnet propeller gets clogged with fish waste as well as built up algae and needs cleaned out. This helps your filter work more efficiently and properly. Not cleaning it causes your filter to cycle the Tank Water less and less so instead of turning the water in the tank 5 times per hour over time it will be 4 then 3 until the filter just burns out.
